Born in Saitama Ken, Japan, in 1942. Lives and works in Paris area
since 1969. From 1966 to 1969, Harada was the pupil of a pioneer of
japanese abstract art, Takeo Yamaguchi, at the Musashino School of the Art,
Tôkyô. He left for Paris after having obtained its diploma, thanks to a
scholarship allowed by the French government. Harada builds his works by using
elementary forms and colors, according to the precepts of his master. He
sometimes integrates heteroclite materials on his canvases, as in his
"assemblages". Harada also conceives performances.
